Where did this great idea come from – Sherry and Donna I think, orΒ from a comment on their blog.
It has been very popular – Isaac and Tobi especially spent a long time at this activity today.
with the simple shapes soon becoming more complex….
and inviting play around ordering, patterning, matching, counting etc etc
One to one corespondence is easy to check when you have to connect the 2 pegs with a rubber band.
So much learning in a “simple” play idea.
Those look so fun. So simple, but the possibilities are endless!
You’re right, Abbie! I like the fact that it extends what is a great activity for younger children to a more complex level. π
Louise you might have found it on “irresistible ideas” BUT we picked it up from – http://rockabyebutterfly.blogspot.com/2010/11/bye-bye-letter-b.html – It has lead to lots of interesting geo board patterns popping up all over our kinder room … Such fun!!!

Thanks for giving the correct attribution for that one – and for another great link to explore….. π
