The end of the year

stripping the crop

The kinder year has reflected the farming year for some of the children, so here we are at harvest time and the header is out in the softfall. Of course we need a chaser bin and a truck as well….

We’ve had plenty  happening apart from the main agenda of play – the community morning tea was a chance to connect the children with some of the people who have helped us this year, including Lime Home Group  – we had a separate visit from Ruby Home Group as well – we had a surprise visit from Joy and Pete on their way through to Ballarat – thanks for the music, Joy, and the computer help, Pete! – we have had our last pre-kinders session – Funky has made it back safe and sound from Atlanta, with some letters from his host kindergarten and a special charm bracelet from the USA – we’ve had an excursion to the bookmobile and our last storytelling session with Mrs Jackson – we’ve enjoyed helping the chickens to settle into kinder – and we’ve started to practise a few songs for the concert – as well as our own concerts which were daily events for a while.concert and audience term 4, 09 121
