Gardening

Life at kinder has been too busy lately – and my upload speeds seem to be even slower but here is a quick update…

This group continues to really enjoy a connection with the garden -and we are happily still munching on the snap peas that we planted in winter.

We are also looking after our strawberries, silver beet, potatoes, garlic, garlic chives and our new carrot seedlings.

At present we are in a battle of wits with the “thing” that is eating our strawberries just as they look nearly ripe enough to enjoy…. we are hoping that the “thing’ won’t go under the covers.

And our crop of wheat is starting to form seed heads. It’s not a very good crop – the farmers tell me that we planted the seeds too thickly – so we will try to do better next year.
